Inspired in a little town at the North of Peru where most of the women weave as part of their tradition which has been passed down through the generations. They use a traditional woven technique with the finest cotton yarn available. This results in the finest handmade fabrics in the area. The colors and forms they use are inspired by the surrounding landscape.
The women use the woven fabrics as a decorative element in their houses but it is also used in a utilitarian way, f.e. wrapping the fabric around their middle as a skirt. Their goal is to maintain their craft by teaching it to the younger generations. Our goal is to support them and share it with the rest of the world.
